wrecker03 Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 I'm having a brain fart so I need to ask. I have Toomey T5's. The viton O-ring that goes from the exhaust side of the cylinder to the pipe. Should the O-ring fit inside the pipe, or on the outside of the exhaust on the cylinder and the pipe meet up to it? Quote
Hilarious Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 I'm having a brain fart so I need to ask. I have Toomey T5's. The viton O-ring that goes from the exhaust side of the cylinder to the pipe. Should the O-ring fit inside the pipe, or on the outside of the exhaust on the cylinder and the pipe meet up to it? Assuming that the toomeys are similar to other pipes, there should be a groove on the inside of the inlet of the expansion chamber to put the o-ring in. At least thats how my FMF's and CPI's are. Quote
dajogejr Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Correct, inside the pipe, where it slides over the exhaust outlet. Do yourself a favor, put a thin layer of high temp rtv on that oring. A. It'll help seal and B. It'll slide on easier.... Quote
2bzy2p Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 we never use those orings,,just good ol black silicone all gooped up seals up and no probs! Quote
