strokerace Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Im putting together my 485 (4mil) cheetah and i need to buy some pipes I know shearers and cpi would give me the most power but im planing on wood riding and playing on fireroads and very little mx (just riding around on new track at that opened up about 15 min from house)so im rally going to use it for an all around bike and no you can never have enough motor should i still get the shearers or cpi or look for something a little more all around (i dont like toomeys just cause every shee around the house has them )was thinking about p.t. mids but not for shure Quote
dajogejr Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 CPI.... Out of all the "top end style, drag type" pipes, they probably have the broadest and widest curve... Quote

bansheeseat$$ Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Question? You said cheetah not cub so I'm assuming you are going to run powervalves in this cheetah right? If so then defenently go with a cpi or shearer pipe,You will have plenty of low end power with powervalves and with these pipes you wont limit your top end.Of course if you actually have a cub then throw this coment in the trash. strokerace Posted June 10, 2007 Author Report Posted June 10, 2007 yes im going to run the powervalves so pretty much everyone still goes with the shearers or the drag style pipes over a normal pipe design Quote
bansheeseat$$ Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 yes im going to run the powervalves so pretty much everyone still goes with the shearers or the drag style pipes over a normal pipe design Yep thats the beauty with powervalves, you get the low end like a "normal pipe"and still have the top end pull with the drag style pipes. When I built a 421 cheetah I had cpi's and 35mm carbs and ran a 22" hauler with stock gearing and it had more low end then 4 pokers have. Handyman Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 yes im going to run the powervalves so pretty much everyone still goes with the shearers or the drag style pipes over a normal pipe design well in that case I'd go with the CPI's or Shearers. I have CPI's on mine and I love them.. the bottom is good and you'll love it when it comes "on the pipe" Quote

I know this bike he is talkng about (if it's the same one I'm thinking of) I bought it from him and the 4 pokes hate me...The first day I rode it in the sand and did a few runs up the hill I had a sore neck from whip lash, my forearms hurt from the death grip I had so I wouldn't fall off the back, my shoulders hurt....my whole body was sore.....it was awesome. You'll not be disappointed with either CPI's or shearers if you go that direction Quote
shanYE west Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 What about some Paul Turner Hi-Revs? they have a good bottom and killer top-end power for not being a drag pipe. I used them on my duner motor and really liked them. Quote
theshee Posted June 11, 2007 Report Posted June 11, 2007 Id throw on some shearers. I love my shearers on my cub. Quote
