Congrats on the new purchase. I too bought an 06. Its not as pretty as it was when i bought it, nor is it stock. As far as skids go, I have a proarmor frame skid and a PRM swing arm skid. I like these skids because the frame skid wraps around the sides of the frame and the swing arm skid is super strong and protects the "dog bone" as well as the other components on the swinger. I ride mostly in construction sites so each time I ride I usually hit broken up concrete or big rocks. I need all the protection I can get. Good luck!!

Since your happy with the power, my ONLY suggestion would be aftermarket suspension. Hell, get some cheap yfz450 shocks/a-arms for it. There's a guy on the forums who sells them. I put them on my bike and i love it. Get a g-force axel too to widen the rear. Only $200.

More power and bling can wait for later.

For protection, try motosport.com and rockymountain atv. They have cheap prices.

When you are ready for more power, just get it ported, piped, etc all at the same time.

As for jet kits, what a waste of money. Just BROWSE the forums and see which jets people run with your set up. But that's only if it doesnt run well as is.

You can buy a lot of stuff used from people. Keep an eye out on the for sale forum. Something WILL catch your eye ;)
