Quadatic20 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 The TORS have been removed for a good time now and I am having an issue with it sticking wide open when dragging or high RPM's???? Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I did not read these, but I hope they help: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=throttle+cable http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=throttle+cable I searched "throttle cable" and 14 pages came up  , so I just pulled a couple for you. Cheers! Quote
wood Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 do you have a twist throttle,i had the same problem, might have to smooth your sildes, try and losen the cap on top of the carbs, and if you have a twist make sure you dont push the throttle to the end of the bars because the grip will hang up on the bars. dajogejr Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 I bet if you took the slides out, gently went over the edges on it with some real fine paper, sprayed them down with cleaner...then put 'em back in you'd be ok. It is CRITICAL you do not tighten down the aftermarket carb caps any more than "snug" by hand, use the hold down elbows to hole them in place. I've had a set or two stick on me just because I channel locked down the cap...you don't need to... Quote
wood Posted June 1, 2007 Report Posted June 1, 2007 thats what i did and no problems since then. Quote
Quadatic20 Posted June 7, 2007 Author Report Posted June 7, 2007 thats what i did and no problems since then. Thanks for all the input, I ended up going back to the thumb throttle. Ran last weekend with no problem at all. Quote
IROOST1 Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 welcome to the club, thats why they have the tors unit. i think it has more to do with the stock carbs. I switched to pwk's to eliminate the wot sticking. Quote
