xLastShotx Posted May 24, 2007 Author Report Posted May 24, 2007 You got a one year warranty on Ricky Stator Stators...I just got mine warrantied, no questions asked. Sent it to them with the line item detail from my online banking account..(My receipt is in a box at home, buried.) I sent it to him on a Wednesday, he got it Friday...he shipped a new one on a Wednesday (last week) and it was at my door yesterday...installed and working fine. I was disappointed I didn't get an email or phone call... I called him last Thursday...he looked it up, said it was warrantied, shipped the day prior, and I'd have it Tuesday. I can't bitch about that.... Not sure how much this helps, but I thought my personal (and very, very recent) experience might give you a little insight. Wow that is a big help, I didn't think they warranted those kinds of parts. Do they have warranties on there other parts? My entire electrical system is from them (cdi, coil, pickup, stator, regulator) except for the Wiring harness which is from Yamaha. I found a local guy (Pete from Sun City, Cant remember what he calls his shop) that runs a small shop out of his garage, I talked to some local guys with Banshees of all sorts and they all said he is one of the best around here. I am going to bring over my Banshee to him next week on friday, he is going to send out my jugs to get bored and honed to 65mm. He also talked me into getting a Aggressive Dune Port that he will do, I figure the jugs are off so why not?!? Once he gets the jugs back and finishes the aggressive dune port he is going to go through the electrical system and find out what is causing my electrical problem... Now all I have to do is get some pipes and possibly carbs to go with the port biggrin.gif . Also does anyone know if Rocky Mountain ATV will take back Pistons? I bought some 64mm pistons from them a few days ago, and now I need to exchange them for 65mm. Quote
Handyman Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 If the pistons won't fit in the cylinders then you have a very tight 64mm bore, which is good. I would figure out why the pistons won't fit, You sure the pistons are the correct size?? I would call rmatv and see if you can't just exchange the 64mm for a set of 65mm pistons....might do it for the price of shipping Quote

Satsol67 Posted May 24, 2007 Report Posted May 24, 2007 Not to say this guy at the shop doesnt know what he is doing but if you are at 64mm now why go to 65mm if your cylinder arent messed up??? Why take more off the cylinder then needed?? If the bore is good dont go to 65mm go smaller like .020 or .030 over. making them 64.50mm or 64.75mm (I beleive thats right). Do go any bigger then you have to. Saves life of the cylinders. Plus with a port job if dont right will have plenty of power. Just a suggestion. Quote

I just ordered some Wiseco Pro Light Pistons that are .020 Over not .040 over like I said before. They are going to send them when they receive the 64mm ones that I am exchanging. What kind of power should I be expecting with a new top end (its first top end in 16 years) and an aggressive dune port? It has stock pipes, stock head, and stock carburetors. I am guessing not much without some new pipes, but how much power should I expect if I had pipes with the mod I am having done? Edited May 25, 2007 by xLastShotx Quote
