That was a very entertaining argument.

By classifying all that as an argument might be giving it too much credit. Dave made several good point and expressed them in a logical anf grammaticaly correct fashion.

2bzy2p generated some verbal poo, in a disorganized, unfriendly, and generally unintelligent manner.

I really don't have an opinion regarding the root issue of whether or not the originator of this thread was asking too much money or not. The proper thing to do if you really, really had a problem with it would be be to send the guy a PM saying, "hey I think you might have a better chance selling your bike at $_____ price or possibly listing it ___________." Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. At the end of the day anything you sell is worth what you can get someone to pay for it. I think that may come from the concept of a free market economy.

On the plus side, I got to talk to an engineering student that seems to be farily intelligent. This is something that seems to be getting harder and harder to find. If any one is keeping score, that makes two engineering students on here that are potentially more intelligent than many engineers that I have met that have been in industry for many years.

By the way, I am an asshole, and I approve this message.

After reading all the back and forth, I have to agree with those that said the opinions of price should have been kept to themselves or PM'd to be appropriate. Secondly, someone and I'm ont going to waste the time to look back through it, said it perfectly. You guys in the midwest buy your stuff for way cheap. I see bikes go all the time locally for $5-$7K with your basic pipes filter etc., unported etc. It's just the case of different markets. Heck, when I bought my '03 in late '04 I paid top book for it ($4700) and it was bone stock with very few hours on it. Anyway man, free bump, sorry your thread got screwed!

To be clear I am not making fun of you or your bike, but instead Roll Design. I don't doubt what you said the dent was there for, but you would think that whoever designed the arm would have spent a couple more seconds rubbing their brain cells together to come up with putting a giant dent in the swingarm. I mean, notching the tub and then laying in half a piece of round tube upside down in the notch would have been way better than just smashing the tube.

I agree it kinda looks haggard. Looks like they beat it with a stick to get it down not profesional looking at all.

But i'm going take a nap now i'm tired from reading all this but it was very interesting... :thanks:

Seriously....what the hell is wrong with you two??

If it's overpriced...fine, that's your opinion and keep it to yourself.

The same bike that might fetch 2500 in the midwest could very easily fetch 4G's out in California...or West Coast.

Don't come on here and muddy up someone's for sale thread...if it's too high, it won't sell...AND IT SAYS OR BEST OFFER....

Just plain wrong....

i kinda stayed out of this thread but i felt i had something to say after the fire burned out some...

im kinda on the fence with this... i dont like to fuk someones for sale thread by saying what they did... how ever i also agree with 2yxkjads,m. and think that there are alot of ppl on here that wouldnt know if thats a reasonable price. and without something being posts they wouldnt know that there is talk going on behind the curtains about it. i know for a fact that if you pm the majority of ppl on here and kindly tell them hey bro your asking price is kinda unreasonable and some kid gets on and sends him a message inquering about the bike, hes not going to re-assess his price. hes going to go with the over priced one. so in the end the kid kinda gets the shaft.

either way i think your damned if you do or your damned if you dont.

Thanks man! ( i hope the engineering thing was about me, or i just made myself look stupid, haha) And i agree with the above, if your going to tell them their bike is too highly priced (in whatever situation), you should also feel obligated to tell them what a more reasonable price is, try to help them out, or something along those lines...

haha, most likely

And yes, I went back a re-read most of the thread and it is by far one of the funniest things i have read on here
