And you will have to rejet. yeah, you have to do that ^ or like i did was cut out the top of the lid and pop riveted screen on to keep out larger chunks of mud n sand. with the lid frame it still holds the filter on but flows much better. drop your clips a notch and do a plug chop after. locogato11283 Posted May 18, 2007 Report Share Posted May 18, 2007 yes, take it off for more power. you will need to at least check your jetting to make sure youre still ok. if you dont want to buy the adapter kit, just run a couple of sheet metal screws into each corner of the white piece that seals up the the stock box. then if you need to take it off, just unscrew the screws. you dont really have to buy the adapter plate of you dont want to..
