Hey guys,

Got a big ass can of Uni foam filter oil. Can I use it on my K&N filters, or should I but the K&N oil for them? Just figure I could use it since it's just sitting there.

I don't see why you couldn't. I've never used different oil for my K & N so i can't gaurantee it's good or not. But i understand what kinda situation your in hell if i had alot of spare oil for a filter i wouldn't wanna waste it either.

pretty sure its a different consistency and wont work as well if any good at all. From what i know foam oil tends to be very sticky and i don't think that would mix well with a k&n. May clog it up but im not entirely sure you'll have to wait and see what others say to be certain.

yeah, i think it would be real tough to clean out of a gauze type filter like the K&N's.

Buy the K&N oil....foam filter oil is like glue...

yep, you will be better off getting the correct oil.

Ive always heard you should only use the oil made for the filters. If not it can get through the filter and gum up your carb slides ect... Thats what I was told once anyway.

Don't do it, for one its too thick.

I have a friend that used foam filter oil on his K&N in his Z400 and the thing barely ran it was so starved for air.

Get the K&N oil or equivalent.
