u think u giuys die it gets up to 49C in the swimming pool, in the shade of the swimming pool and i aint joking i actually mesured (and then we go riding in the middle of summer but we r there like 5oclock and leave at 7 lol)

Its hard to imagine not being able to ride int he summer, makes me feel good to live in the middle of the us lol our dune season is just getting rolling. Anyway if its too hot in the day why not just ride at night that way you dont have to let it sit and you get to have some fun too, afterall with those big lights you shouldnt have a problem seeing things in the dark

Yeah its hard to imagine not being able to go in the summer. Its still colder then hell here at night so its just hard to fathom the heat there. Glad its in cali and not here!

ITs in homestead.The place is called the hump.But its right next to the homestead speedway.Awesome place lots of trails,Some hills and LOTS of banshees to race.

i ride year round and i live in Tucson,AZ dunes are just for halloween, thanksgiving, new years, a few trips here and there :biggrin:

I ride the dunes all year! Dumont and Glamis during dune season (October - March) and Pismo (April - October) The dunes in Pismo are lame, but it's on the beach... Living in SoCal is cool... I've surfed in the morning, and snowboarded in the evening. Can't get that in too many places.

Hell yea!!! I'm going to Pismo next week. I don't know anywhere else you can camp right on the beach and ride. Sure, Pismo dunes aren't very big.....some razorbacks....Comp turned into a small hill.....but it's still a fun place to go and mess around. Especially with the bon fires at night. Are the 'drags' there still bumpy?

 

A word of caution though.....the dune police there are on your ass if you don't follow the rules. Must have a helmet, can't ride double, must obey the speed limit on the beach, etc....but once you get out to the dunes, it's free-for-all....as long as you don't go into the 'restricted areas'.

The drags are flat! It was really nice. We when out last weekend, and I'm planning a trip for June if you'd like to go. Check the events forum.
