I just put a + 4 timing plate, 4 mm stroker crank, reed spacers, and a noss cool head with 21 cc domes on my banshee and it won't start unless I put gas straight into the carbs and it won't idle once I get it started, I have to give it a little gas to keep it running.

I think the jets might be to small(280), but it ran fine before the upgrades.

Any ideals on the problem?

Thanks,

Joe

I do think that your mains might be a little lean just by the setup but DO NOT go swapping main jets because your bike will not start. They have ZERO effect on jetting at zero throttle. Sounds like plugged pilots. Pull them and clean them. Before you do, back the drain screw out at the bottom of the bowls to ensure they drain indicating the bowls have fuel in them. When you pull the bowls, you migh just throw in some 300 mains if you are around sea level. That should be closer.

your mains shold be around 310-320 at sea level with stock carbs... so once you get her back up you need to do a plug chop and make sure your not running it lean...go up on your pilot.. and what clip is your needle on and what needle is it?also how many turns are on your air screw? running tors?
