bansheefourseven Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 Are the FMF power core 2 silencers legal to ride in trails? Meaning do they have a spark arrestor built in or do you have to make/buy one for them? It doesnt mention one on there website but it does say the powercore 1s are spark arrested Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 They aren't only the turbine core and quiet cores are. Quote
bansheefourseven Posted April 16, 2007 Author Report Posted April 16, 2007 Does dnr ever give anyone shit about it or do people get an aftermarket one and put it on there? Who makes one for it? Quote
jbooker82 Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 http://www.fmfracing.com/products/catalog....?CategoryID=116 If you get caught it is a 200 dollar fine here in nebraska. Plus you get to push or tow your machine out of the trails. Buying the turbine core 2 silencers are the only legal way to do it. It has to have USFS Approved stamped on the pipe. Some people on here use some type of wire screen and just jam in in the exhaust and put a sticker on the pipe. Putting that srceen in there would really restrict the exhaust. When I bought my banshee it has FMF SST Pipes with Powercore 2 slilencers. I had to buy the Turbine Core 2's. They were a good silencer. I couldnt even tell that i switched performance wise. I have toomey's now and run there sparkies. They are big for a reason. Greater surface area of the screen so they dont restrict the exhaust. I cant tell a performance difference with those on ethier. nomad Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 I have the Q silencers and they sound fine. They're rated 96db or less. Quote
