my friend is selling a YZ 250 and he wants 750 for it

i now its a 80 something but m not sure...im guessing an 87-89

i know it runs and its not rusty and he ays its fast but i just want to know if its a good deal

I don't know about CAD$, but it should be about $500 American, maybe even less. The market isn't great for the older bikes like that, unless someone wants to pull the engine and use it somewhere else. That will be the monoshock rear right? Definately not the dual shock, also, I don't think they were powervalved that eary on either. I have a 93 YZ80, that I've had for a long time, and the biggest problem with the old old bikes like that is that parts from a dealer cost an arm and a leg. I paid like $60 for a simple plastic chain slide.

Dude, anytime you need something like that, PM me... I'm a dealer, and just looked at the cost of slides for that bike, you got raped..

Hmmm, I think I will, I tried Action Yamaha, and Green Brook cycle locally, and Yamaha of Warren, and a few other internet sites, and all were around $60 or so. Any chance you could tell me what your getting for the front chain that goes on the swingarm, I allready have it now, but just curious.
