wrecker03 Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Just found out my head and clyinders are all done and being sent back. I want to replace all the studs and nuts in the cyliners and the head. Stockers from the dealer run about $87. I'm just looking for black, nothing fancy. Anyone have a good line on where to get everything for a reasonable price. I want to just replace everything because some things are damaged, some are seized together and it would just make me feel better personally. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 hardware store... you can get studs and nuts that fit them for probly 4 or 5 bucks... mke sure yo dont get the china made shit... get the grade 8 Quote
400rednEX Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 i can't remember how much i paid, but i got mine from jeff at fast. they were more expensive than the hardware store but to maintain the right clamping pressure with the stock torque specs the hardware has to stretch the same as stock. i'm sure a lot of people use non stock stuff with success though.
