Muller857 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 The other day my clutch felt funny and i had to adjust it at the lever alot to get it to disengage, i rode it for the rest of the time we were out and a day later i went to ride it and it wouldnt disengage at all, so i pulled off the crankcase cover and found that the the boss nut or big nut was lose and one of the discs came out of the basket. I put it all back in right and torqued everthing down. Now its runnin good and ready to go but when i hit it in lower gears it like... hard to explain, chatters or clicks or rattles and feels and sounds like its from the back not the case, i had an r6 that the trans went bad on and this isnt like that, it doesnt fall out of any gear it just skips or somthing, but not when im in the grass only on the street as far as i can tell, so its when its under high pressure. Any help will be great but im goin out riding with my buddies now and i prolly shouldnt but im so sick of workin on this thing i really dont care right now. maybe later i will cool off and hopefully be able to fix it. Thanks guys Quote
bansheeboy02 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Check to make sure you didn't lose any nuts or washers in there. Another thing to check is to make sure the kick gear is in right and isnt sometimes trying to engage. Quote
Muller857 Posted April 11, 2007 Author Report Posted April 11, 2007 Thanks both of you, first about the inside of the case.. I put everything together just like it came out so i think thats ok, but as far as the kick start is concerned, i dont konw, i guess i will check that out, sounds like it could be the problem, i mean the sound and feeling could be that somthing is catching or binding. The chain was lose and i tighted it up alot, prolly too much, about 1.5in of play. and the sprockets and chain look good, so i dont think thats it, but its a feeling as like the chain is jumping, or like the rim was spinning inside the tire. but i dont think thats it. keep the ideas coming for sure, i think i can get this fixed one way or another, i just home i dont have to go into the trans to do it so i want to knock everything else out first, thanks as always Quote

Muller857 Posted April 11, 2007 Author Report Posted April 11, 2007 Thats exactly what it feels like, and it happend when i was goin around a curve in a field in like 4th or 5th gear too, so that would make sense that the axle is cocking one way or another, i will check those today, thanks alot Quote
