fox_forma Posted April 7, 2007 Author Report Posted April 7, 2007 i am using the carbide dremel bit and its working slowly, just looking for a faster solution Quote
fox_forma Posted April 7, 2007 Author Report Posted April 7, 2007 finally got the extractor out but there is no way I can get that bolt out safely. To much got eaten away and its very close to the edges, looks like I have barely anything left to try and grab if using an easy out type extractor. It is so close the normal threads may be screwed but I think they may still have a chance. What options should I look at now. Should drill the whole thing out and helicoil it, or just drill the whole thing out and throw a bolt though and put a nut on the end of it and tighten it down? Or if anyone has any inexpensive ways of getting what little is left of the actual bolt out I'd be happy to hear it. Quote
BANSHEEMANIAC Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 just drill it out and helicoil it. Quote
daffron Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 You might be able to get some good tap oil and a tap and chase the threads. I would try that before drilling out. Quote
