Jhughes7 Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 (edited) Any of you guys had experiance with blaster's with 240 kits? Do they mess with there reliability? I am thinking of picking up this blaster for my wife. It's one of the nicest blasters I have ever seen, But I dont really pay attention to them. You can see it at http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/mcy/305310714.html Edit: Anyone know what compression is suppose to be on those? Edited April 5, 2007 by Jhughes7 Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 I would guess around 140lbs for compression and those 240 kits are from what I have seen way reliable. It really brings the blaster to life and with a bigger carb, air filter, reeds, porting, etc. thay fly. would be a perfect bike for the wife. i would compare them to a z400...perfect beginner quad Quote

r/atvshee Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 if its a vitos 240, i would be careful because from what i've seen is that the piston skirts arent the strongest. But thats a nice blaster. Quote
06BaNsHeE Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Thats a nice blaster. But I would buy her a stock banshee(If you only want 2-strokes).Because if she wants to go faster just add a set of pipes and it would prolly beat that blaster. Also very reliable. Quote
Jhughes7 Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 Yeh I would love to get another banshee, But unfortunently my pockets arent that deep. I am sure she will never see 4th on that blaster lol. I dont think she has seen second on my bike and its not even that fast. Quote
sand4ever Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Just make sure that if it is a vitos kit, you don't run it too hard. i have heard from several people they get hot. Not exactly sure what the problem is. that is why we are going with a stroker crank in my wifes bike eventually. Definetly find out whos 240 it is. Also the 240 is more of a top end motor, where the stroker gives more bottum end. Quote
