i rite now have stockers that spin in 1 st and 2nd i have a set of 18.5 slicks on 10 inch rims havent put them on yet, really thinking or american racer or hoosiers but what size and what size rim, also wher can i get the best deals or if anyonehas a used set for sale?looking to run 1/8 to 1/4 mile thanks i advance

I've always ran 20" American Racers on 10" wheels, but I don't think they're being made in that size anymore.

 

The slicks would be fine to run, but if you're going to run the 1/4 with 18" tires, you're going to have a seriously large front sprocket on there with a small rear sprocket or else you'll tap out way before the finish line. Those 18" slicks should work good for the 1/8 mile though.

i ran hoosier slicks and if you don t heat them up good, like a 4 th gear burnout, they are useless. they will spin. they come in 20 in.

ya thats why i really want to find a 20" tire do either one of you guys have any decent old slicks or street tire,im def not making the power you guys are , so your old ones might work for me ,for the rite price its worth a shot i do have spare 10 inch rim thanks again

Sorry, I only have one set and it's what I use now...and ironically it's NYUK's old set of tires :biggrin:

 

ebay is the way to go!
