dante Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 I was wondering what are the effects if I raise my needle too high? here are my current mod list: 1. Toomy T-5 Exhaust 2. K & N filter in the box 3. Heads Shaved .030 4. Ported Cylinders by (Henderson ATV, NC) 5. Jet kit 6. Gearing 15 Quote
dajogejr Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Its too much work changing jets I want to get it right the first time. No such thing, sorry....there are simply too many variables, not to mention no two bikes are the same. If you think it's too much work to change jetting to get your bike running properly, buy a 4 stroke, leave it stock....and never worry about a thing, you have the wrong bike. Soon it'll be too much work to clean the air filter, or change the oil, etc.... Quote
jlsparky7 Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 wow thats lazy. I think its almost as much fun to work on the quad as it is to ride it! Quote
pokeatyou2 Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 mate you definetly have the wrong sort of quad. jetting is very easy. to be honest i think it is easer then playing with the needle and you said that you want to get it right the first time SO DO THE JOB PROPERLY. if it is lean on the top end change the needle hieght wont change a thing its only effective in the mid range and from your added mods especially removing the air box lid it will be running lean. so change the bloody mains other wise it is going to be A HELL OF A LOT OF WORK REBUILDING YOUR TOP END Quote
sredish Posted April 7, 2007 Report Posted April 7, 2007 Soon it'll be too much work to clean the air filter, or change the oil, etc.... you mean it's not too much work???? bike's looking good in that sig bro. Quote
