Try looking at the needle valve that the float controls, if it has any rings on it or is worped, it will not seal. With the carb off and the bowl off, blow through the gas inlet and see if you can stop the flow of air by moving the float up and down Quote
yamaha04 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 sometime if you tap on the bowls with the end of a screw driver it will fix the problem but its only for a short time take the carbs off and clean the float valve Quote
MILO Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 check the float height adjustment. if it's fine, you may just need to do a little more extensive carb cleaning, like mentioned above. Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 you definitely have a fuel level problem. Make sure the float is not filled with gas. If it is filled it will weigh it down and just keep dumping fuel. Also the needle and seat can be worn out. if the rubber tip gets hard the needle won't seal against the seat. also with the carb off you should ba able to shake it and hear the float move. Quote
