RIPRuck Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Installing TORS elimination kit Boss racing intake Noss/FAST heads w/21cc domes K&N pods w/outterwears Adj. Timing plate to +4 Magnum jet kit 1. The jet kit and Intake come with gaskets, now do I need to use any type of sealer when I install the gaskets? 2. I know I need to loctite the screws when I install the timing plate but do I need to loctite anything else like pilots or jets? What else? 3. Jeff at FAST told me to install the new needle in the 4th clip, does that mean the 4th slot from the flat end? Thanks guys.. I'm sure I'll have other questions as Jeff's taking a trip today(dont want to bother him!) Quote
mpbanshee Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 YOu do not need to use sealer or locktite on any of that stuff. As for the needles, I would assume that he means 4th from the top (blunt end), but I would doubel check with your builder. Quote

Didnt see anything stating I needed to seal up the gaskets in the clymer. As for the needle setting jeff asked what pipes I was running which are T5's and some other questions about the bike which was that its bored .30 over. Quote
jbooker82 Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 I dont use any sealer on my reeds or intake. Just make sure you have a gasket betweent he cylinder and reeds, and one in between the reeds and intake. Quote
FASTOYS Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Ripruck, use a VERY THIN layer of sealer on the gaskets, and 4th clip from the top on the needles. We use blue locktite on all the timing component screws/bolts, and a drop on the idle screws as well to seal the threads. Call anytime or email if you need any help. Quote
