peak-j Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Here is my plug chop. I have T5's, V force 3, no air box lid, FAST Racing cool head 20cc domes, and TORS removed. 280 mains, 4th slot on needle, and 2 turns out on the air screw. What do you guys recommend or is it ok? Thanks for any input. Quote
peak-j Posted March 23, 2007 Author Report Posted March 23, 2007 I also noticed it is a little slow on the throttle response on the bottom end, is that something I can get rid of with the mixture screws? Thanks Quote
black sunshine Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 I also noticed it is a little slow on the throttle response on the bottom end, is that something I can get rid of with the mixture screws? Thanks Are you counting from the blunt end or the fat end of the needle? Quote
peak-j Posted March 23, 2007 Author Report Posted March 23, 2007 I counted from the grooved end down, needle pointing in the down position. 4th clip just like toomey's paper said. Quote
mpbanshee Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Adjusting the air screws will let you dial in the jetting up to about 1/8 throttle. If you get less than one turn out, jump to the next bigger pilot jet. If it is slow or sputtering between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle, move the needle clip to the center groove. Quote
peak-j Posted March 24, 2007 Author Report Posted March 24, 2007 Ok, I synchronized the carbs again, took the air screws to 1-1/4 out. Has great throttle response now. I just need to know if I am for sure safe on the top end with plug chop pics. What do you guys think? Quote

As long as the bike doesen't stutter or stumble when you are running wide open, I would leave it that way. Better to be on the safe side... Quote
peak-j Posted March 25, 2007 Author Report Posted March 25, 2007 No, it runs awesome all the way through now. Never studders or anything just keeps on pullin. Thanks Quote
