FireHead Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 Welcome back to the rain! It's not raining yet. Hopefully it won't until I get moved in. Quote
FredMW Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 I am going to be living on Halsey Street in the eastern part of Portland. I couldn't fin much of anything to rent with a garage near Swan island. I will have to get used to the commute down I84 in the morning. Which is the best DMV to go to? Does a DMV employee come and actually check your vehicle or is it just paperwork inside the office? What is the best emissions station to go to? That information will help me out a ton. The closest testing station is about 5 mins. south of yuor new place . It's off 82ND Drive at the Clackamas Estacada Exit. The DMV offices are scattered all over .There is one one exit south of the testing station. Quote

FireHead Posted April 6, 2007 Author Report Posted April 6, 2007 I wonder what your neighbors are gunna think of you when you first fire up ur tripple whenevr you finish it My Harley is probably the loudest thing that I own and nobody has complained yet. My neighbor on the left side of the picture is cool as hell. Apparently, he is just a good 'ol boy from Virginia that is an electrician for a living. He seems to do wood working projects in his garage and is in the process of fixing up an old Honda street bike. Quote
FredMW Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 Stick with the DMV and Test Station that are close, they are good as any and better than most. Don't get used to this good weather, it will turn to shit next week. Quote

I am about 50% done with the DMV as of today. I have to go back to the one on Powell forst thing in the morning. The DMV and DEQ station out in Gresham were a breeze. The lady told me that I was the first person she had ever seen get 100% on either of the driver license tests (car/motorcycle). I am going to assume the populous of Gresham is retarded based on that. I think you could pass either test no matter what you did as long as you can restrain yourself from licking the screen. The emission standards that apply to my truck are amusing. They don't even load the engine or check the evaporative system when they do the test. In fact, I didn't even know the lady was testing my truck, as I was on my phone and filling out paperwork while I was just sitting there with my truck running. Now if I could just find the box I put my stamps in. :: :: Quote
FireHead Posted April 9, 2007 Author Report Posted April 9, 2007 I went to the DMV office on Powell off of I205 on Saturday to finish gettin my red bike titled and take the written test for my motorcycle endorsement on my license. I apparently ran into the worst DMV emplyee that has ever lived. Noto nly did he decide that I needed to have my red bike inspected by the state patrol (I am pretty sure it was because he didn't want to walk outside in the rain). So now I get otgo through that BS on a Wednesday mroning because that's the only time they do it. I also didn't get to take my written test because he said they weren't giving the motorcycle tests on Saturday. There was only one other employee that seemed to be working there and there were a ton of customers. I am fairly certain that I have bever been so pissed off at another person in my whole life. If I wasn't pretty sure I would have gone to jail I would have anatomically rearranged that guy. Fuck................I am still pissed off at that guy. I mean some supervisor somewhere out there ought to have their foot consistently up that guys ass for being the definition of lazy incompetence. :: :: :: :: :: :: :: Quote

FireHead Posted April 9, 2007 Author Report Posted April 9, 2007 This is why I prefer the dentist over the dmv. I wrote the guy's name down, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. I am contemplating writing a dirty letter to the DMV headquarters regarding my experience. I am not sure if it's worth my time though. Quote
FireHead Posted May 5, 2007 Author Report Posted May 5, 2007 Moneybags just sent me a PM containing some pictures his sister took of me moving to Portland, OR from Irvine, CA. I thought it was kind of funny so I thought I would share. Quote
Jhughes7 Posted May 5, 2007 Report Posted May 5, 2007 LoL That looks like all you need right there! Now you just need to get down to the coast to rip these dunes up. Quote
FireHead Posted May 6, 2007 Author Report Posted May 6, 2007 LoL That looks like all you need right there! Now you just need to get down to the coast to rip these dunes up. I need two things to make that happen. To finish getting my red bike titled which requires some of my time on a Wednesday (either this week or next week) and someone to go riding with. Quote
