IROOST1 Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I am looking for some better lights and all i can find is 55 watt halogens. I know the stockers run at 35 watts, so if i put 35 watt halogen bulbs in the new lights, will they work good? and can the halogens take the beating? Quote
scooter Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 trailtech has some that are a 35w stock banshee replacement. there billet and fit the stock mounts. fast and cascade both have them for about 120.00 a set Quote
IROOST1 Posted March 9, 2007 Author Report Posted March 9, 2007 thats way more than i plan on spending, i can get the ones i like for 23 shipped. Quote
Wallrat Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 If you're looking at the Explorer Pro Comps don't bother. They're pretty cheaply made and will only last a season before the rivets begin to fail and the whole light begins to shake. Otherwise, 35W is what you want. Don't try to go with a higher wattage or the lights will be dimmer and very yellow. Quote
matt440rev Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 get ahold of bluhm industries, they make brighter lights with the same draw as stock. my sled has 55w stock and they have some that put out 100+watt and still draw the same. great people to work with too. Quote
IROOST1 Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Posted March 10, 2007 i dont want any brighter lights, just new ones. the lights i am looking at are meant to mount to grille guards on trucks. But its the same size light. I need new ones because the frame i am using had the original headlight mounts cut off. Quote
