Duner440 Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Just remember: "If momma aint happy, nobody is happy." And I am sure that anyone on this site that is married will agree. Just buy her what she wants. You already have a bike. Dont get me wrong, I would like to have two as well. Good luck. Quote

FireHead Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Is she a wife or girlfriend? Wife = raptor 700 Girlfriend = buys her own quad I agree. I have seen many a man lose his ass in that sort of situation. Quote
phx450 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 I think 400ex as well. i picked up a brand new one off of the floor 4k cash. Safe, reliable, you cannot break it, as well not to fast! my 450 my girl can ride but i think for the weight of the bike vs weight of the girl can cause problems. Zero Maint! Quote

I got it even better, my wife bought her own 700 Grizzly. Quote

Thats all I here now, "I want another Grizzly." You cant buy those things cheap. Quote
Trick2stroke Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 You're saying she would be dissapointed with a 400? Hell, it's something to ride and it's not really that slow. What we want isn't always what we should get! I'm just concerned for her safety, I've seen too many people "get what they want" and it be out of their league and they just fuck themselves and/or the bike up sooner or later. I don't know her or her skill level but based on the fact she's only ridden a few times I just think the 450 is too much. Quote
Duner440 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 I think that as long as she is happy, that is all that matters. I could care less what he bought her. There is no sense in buying something that is not what she wants. Hell, I started out on a 400ex myself and I liked it a lot but it didnt take long before I was ready for something with some power (Banshee). If you bought her a 450 there would be no reason she couldnt handle that. A 4 stroke has very predictible power and they are quite easy to control. Thats just my .02 I wouldnt just throw her on a drag bike but a 450 or even a 700 would be fine in my opinion. Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Honestly id say the 450 something you can both enjoy and its a 4 poke power is very smooth and predictable. Also from my experience anything can get away from you. Sad to say but iv had my ass handed to me on a xr70 before. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 go with the yfz450... i got my wife one... and she loves it... smooth power she can handle... i put a fci intake on it and rejetted it and its good for what we do with it... and its better to ride then a 400ex when its your turn lol Quote
