BigRed350x Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Alright, cleaning out more spare parts from the ol shed... Have two pairs of these, so selling a set. CPI In-Frame Drag Pipes. Small Bore. Pipes have no dings or dents. One pipe has a rub mark from where it rubbed on a head at some point. The silencers show normal wear and tear that the CPI silencers always get. Melted spot where a wiring harness touched the stinger. Both silencer mounting brackets broke off and the previous owner fixed them. (see pics) $385 SHIPPED! Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 (edited) BigRed, you running a set of Shearer's on your new bike? So about the head to pipe clearance, are you aware that they hit the head currently? I really want to switch, but I'm not big on the idea of shimming. Either way sounds like a real fair price! edit: Forgot the main point of my post... I'm sure if you do you're probably hanging on to them, but you don't have an unstamped set laying around? Basically no way to get unstamped anymore is there? Edited February 27, 2007 by 2003LimitedBanshee Quote

Basically no way to get unstamped anymore is there? I have a set of both shearer and CPI's that I trade around on my blue banshee. Yes, I am aware of the clearance issues. That's something that you should check with every single pipe you put on a banshee, check frame clearances and all that every time I bolt anything up. That's a given. I used to have some unstamped ones and paid a shit-ton for them. I'd actually recommend against them any more, since their main pipe mounts are inferior and will ALWAYS crack unless you get new mounts welded on, but that will ruin your chrome. My old unstamped ones had a triple plate white show-chrome so I didn't want to mess with welding new mounts on. I sold those a long time ago. You can still get them, but they will be used! Ha Ha Ha! Fastdadtsmith Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Would these be a good dune/drag pipe on a stock bore/stroke cub motor? Quote
ellison445 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 They would be perfect for that motor!!! Would these be a good dune/drag pipe on a stock bore/stroke cub motor? Quote
BigRed350x Posted February 27, 2007 Author Report Posted February 27, 2007 Would these be a good dune/drag pipe on a stock bore/stroke cub motor? I ran CPI's on my 4mil cub and loved them! They make an excellent pipe for dune riding. Great upper mid-range and top-end pipe. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 alright not to hijack the post but how do you go about fixing the pipes hitting the head? Nice set of pipes for a damn good price too  Quote
BigRed350x Posted February 27, 2007 Author Report Posted February 27, 2007 Put some shims between your pipe mount and the frame and between the pipe and the pipe mount. Actually pretty easy. Quote
