sublime777 Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Just had my 01 shee bored from 64.5 to 65.25 I am installing coolhead with 21cc domes. Are these the right size? What compression should I be at?I tried to install this head with new V force 3, FMF FATTYS, K&N,open airbox. What jetting should I use for this setup? I tried a 320main 30 pilot but it won't idle and it backfires. My elevation is 1,100 and temp 75 -85 degrees running pump gas 32/1 yamalube any help would be great THANKS! Quote
gregbowler Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 (edited) A backfire is most likely lean. I would check for air leaks Edited February 25, 2007 by gregbowler Quote
CadillacBanshee Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 320 sounds way lean. Better to start rich and then work your way down, plugs are cheaper than pistons. I'm guessing something like a 350. Quote

What did your plugs look like when you did a plug check? Make sure you don't have any air leaks on the intake side of things, because that would cause a lean condition. Quote
