I Wont Be Doing A Hole Lot OF Draging

Seems the majority of you missed this part. he's not that concerned with dragging so he'll have to approach it differently.

8" wheel - more flex, better launch, softer ride but less ability to slide and turn

10" wheel - less flexx, more stable, good ability to slide and carve the dunes

I'd go to a 10" wheel or a 9" at the least for a good compromise. I'd also recommend the Skat Trak Edges. They're a V paddle but they hook up incredibly well for a V and will give you a killer overall ride on the dunes, excellent carving and sliding but still enough hookup to be plenty competent in the drags when need be.

Get a 20" tire in a 8 paddle.

Well I have had 8" and 10" and as far as I can tell, turning and doing donuts feels the same to me.

Skat trak haulers. I had v blades for duning, but just like the straights better. Cant go wrong with a hauler.

not to mention that w/ the 8" wheel you will get tire growth.

this will act as a taller gear at the big end.

That's why the drag guys run and 8" rim in the back.

The dune guys who jump run them as it gives you more sidewall and air volume to absorb landings, which inturn lessens the chand of D'ing out a rim.

I personally think that the difference in weight between an 8" rim with a tire and a 10" rim with a tire is about the same generally speaking. As I rub my magic eight ball further, I may see that a set of Skat Trak B2B Ultra Light on a 8" rim weighs less than the same tire on a 10" rim (this is based off of a quick, half ass, mass approximation I just did in my head).

How About These??..........

Well Its Not Working, Its The... "GBC Sand Shark 20x11x8" Part Number:: 54160

^^Those blow a dong.

I do have GBC (Green Ball Corporation (I learned the definition of the acronym the other day) single rib front sand tire. They work excellent and are quite possibly the best (and cheapest) sand front tires I have ever used.

Some sort of Hauler or Edge tire from Skat Trak (they make several types of each tire) or Sand Stars from ITP. End of story.

If I were to choose for you and your bike I would put a complete set off Sand Stars at all four coners.

After readin all of the posts in this thread I get the feeling that you are going to be a v-blade kind of guy.
