baddsheee Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 (edited) Got someone selling me a +4. What will I need to change from my stock setup. I know the chain does. I have heard that the brake line can reach, is that correct. Any help needed will be appreciated. Will my skid plate still fit? Edited February 11, 2007 by baddsheee Quote
Bansh88 Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 Brake line should fit no problem. Most likely, the skid plate is history. They're pieces of shit anyhow. You might want to get an aftermarket chain slider. (up near the front sprocket) I personally think they're not needed with a +4. The chain guide (down near the rear sprocket) might not line up right. I've run without one for a while without problems. An aftermarket one I bought did not line up right. Sprocket sizes may be making the difference. Is this a stock carrier style or roundhouse? Quote
MDS2106 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 (edited) If it is a stock carrier type swingarm the stock brakeline will be to short. When I installed my +4 swingarm,I ordered a +4 brakeline and its a little long, I think a +3" would be perfect Edited February 12, 2007 by MDS2106 Quote
Bansh88 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Must depend on the make. I owned a Stock carrier (which sucked) +4 and the brake line fit fine. Quote
