rideblue_05 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 I am going to advance my timing with an adjustable timing plate. Also I am thinking about switching from c12 race gas to u2. u2 is oxygenated so I was wondering about what kind of changes I need to do with my carbs for each thing. Quote
Washburn Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 You might be able to get away with the jetting you are running now if its good. Timing advances alot of the time dont call for a jetting change and going to U2 is not an issue. That stuff is expensive as hell though. I can get it whenever I want Im just going with the VP110. You can chill on 11 bucks a gallon and I know if I ran it Ide always want it. Im not even going to run it in races. I just cant see spending that kind of money on oxegenated fuel. 13 a gallon with premix Quote
rideblue_05 Posted February 7, 2007 Author Report Posted February 7, 2007 (edited) Do you think it is worth going with the u2 over the c12. It costs me $8.50 for the c12 and I think I can get u2 for around $10.50. Will I be able to tell the diff? My best bet is going back with 22cc domes and getting back on 93 octane before i smoke my crank. I just love the bottom end that it has. I does good for stock motor. letsgetthisdone Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 if you have not had your crank trued and welded you should definitely drop that think back down to stock compression with some 22cc domes. Quote

I never ran the U2 but my mechanic who races in the PRO Class in the GNCC series runs and swears by it. He carrys U2 c12 and VP110 and U2 is all he ever puts in his bike but he never just rides ever. He only races. so I definatly think you will notice a diffrence in power. If you are willing to pay 13 bucks a gallon for fuel then try it out. Buy 3/12 gallons with whatever premix you run and run a tank of it and make your mind up that way. Ill stick with the VP110 for 5 bucks a gallon though. Im also going to start buying my 927 in the big bottles so I can save on that. How do you like your TCS shocks? Have you ever rode any other shock on a Banshee to compare? Well if it does eventually give out then I will just slap a stroker in there and be done with that. It has held up a while with this compression though. Almost a year. Quote

I agree with getting your crank trued and welded with the 18s but I run 20s with my stock crank and I will for another year untill I get my 4mil stroker. Do you guys know anything about the carrlia sp cranks? Do they make them for the Banshee? Quote

It sucks to go up on your dome size but your really pushing it. A few hours taking your crank out sending it to someone whos good at welding cranks could end up saving you alot of time headaches and $$$$. 100 dollars and 8 hours now sure beats 1000 dollars and 20 hours in the future.
