race-a-holic Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 I have finally started tearing the sport down.It will be getting a ported cylinder,HSP pipe, keihin carb,etc...I also will be adding aluminum rims,+4 swingarm, and aluminum struts. I hope to have a strong polaris.Might even beat a few banshees.LOL! Please no hate mail. Can't we all get along. I'm still a fan of banshees. There's a group of guys with these 400's I talk to that might be going to LS in either may or june. I hope to make it but it doesn't look to good right now. DUNE-A-TIC Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 I like all the non-mainstream bikes...especially when they can lay it down... Dune Quote
scooter Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 im guessing you have one of the 400 2 stroke scramblers? if so you can make them haul pretty fast theres tons of after market parts for them.good luck with your ride Quote
race-a-holic Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 Yeah, you can make them run good.Of course,I'm not expecting to smoke any drag ported 350's,4 mils.,or anything like that, but it will make for a good sleeper. Quote
SoCalinIt Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 I'm happy for you man! Let us know how it turns out! Quote
bigboybanshee Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 You get it built and I'll round up some rear tires for you to run at our track. I look forward to hearing how this turns out! When do you think you'll have it all back together? Quote
race-a-holic Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 Right now the issue is money.I still need to buy a clutch kit, rear rims,as well as other parts that add up. I will get it to some of the races Travis.I hope to also get it to St.Joe and hopefully LS. If it runs mid 5's,I'll consider that pretty good. Not bad for an automatic. This quad will sooner or later break into the 4's.Just might be the "later" though. Quote
r/atvshee Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 i think that this is one of those 400's hope it gets you more excited lol it put a couple of banshees and 450's to shame Quote
race-a-holic Posted February 8, 2007 Author Report Posted February 8, 2007 I'm just ready to get it together and go riding. Maybe even a little racing.LOL! Quote
phx450 Posted February 8, 2007 Report Posted February 8, 2007 In the pic isnt the 450 winning? My only advice is lose weight, the bike and yourself. The weight to HP ration is very key. 2nd would be gearing. Gear for what you will race. Think Thin! Quote
r/atvshee Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 yea the 450 won that race, but that polaris was beating others quite a bit Quote
phx450 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 That polaris looks pretty decent though. The kid on the 450 looks to weigh a tad bit less then the rider on the polaris as well. Who knows, it could win some races if tuned right and had someones 105lb kid on it. Quote
race-a-holic Posted February 10, 2007 Author Report Posted February 10, 2007 I know guys that are already running mid to high 4's with these sports. I figure one of them will hit low 4's this coming year. Quote
r/atvshee Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 there were about 3 other 400's like that one but that black one was the fastest that day. i was impressed Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 I like all the non-mainstream bikes...especially when they can lay it down...Dune for real for real hook some nitro up to that beatch man Quote
