bkabina
looks like someone ran a 7 disc in an 8 disc basket to me. count the grooves. Yeah it was run with 7 disc's.The only way it works with 8 plates is if you have the Hinson pressure plate and boss,Or Have the stock pressure plate and boss machined down for the extra steel and fiber. Its No longer available. Thanks Jay...Steve

MDS2106
Upp racing has cushions for the clutch basket. http://www.uppracing.com/item.php?pid=266&cid=71 Edited February 3, 2007 by MDS2106
bkabina
I agree. If you are going to replace the cushions UPP is the only way to go.I have tried just about every brand they is and the UPP are the only ones I have never had problems with. okbeast
Would having run 7 plates on it affect it when you tried to run 8 since it's grooved so much?
bkabina
Would having run 7 plates on it affect it when you tried to run 8 since it's grooved so much? I don't think it would affect it too much if you had some grooves.I have used a file to get rid of the grooves in stock baskets and aftermarket both. The aftermarket baskets takes a good file and a bit more time because they are so damn hard. Got it today man, thanks! Is it ok to leave the grooves or should I file them out? I'm just worried about the pull of the clutch, I don't want the plates to get hung up there. I'm running a basically stock engine except for pipes. Thanks, Jay
