slow=banshee Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 hi im new to this site looking for some help i just got a set of um propeg nerf bars and they dont fit right or atleast to the diretions they dont it says to mount the front of the nerf bar to the eninge mount but the braket or tab doesnt line up with the engine mount it lines up with the fender mount bracket just wounder if anyone else has had this problem and the part number is right and everything else lines up any help would be great thanks :: Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 most of the propeg mounts use the top hole of the front motor mount on the frame rail. you usually have to use a longer bolt and run it all the way either in or out and use a nut on the other side. i think most propeg nerfs come with the bolts to do this. im sure someone here has a picture of it.. slow=banshee Posted January 30, 2007 Author Report Posted January 30, 2007 yes, thats what its says to do..... but the bracket on the nerf bar it self is horizontal with ther quad so theres no way it would fit on the upper motor mount... i have been a mechanic for many years and this has me stumped.... if any one has a close up picture of how a pro peg nerf bar bolt onto the motor mount.. i would greatly appriecieate it Quote
