r/atvshee Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 try this go in 2nd and keep the rpms alittle high then nail the throttle and lean back. it will pick it up alittle slower(not as dramatic) then hold it as long as u can. practice on dirt its forgiving. i find that the easiest way to do a wheelie. exspecially in the sand with some good gripping paddles. i'm in the process of learning how to shift during wheelies  Quote
felcon edition banshee Posted February 1, 2007 Author Report Posted February 1, 2007 i cant wheelie either man.tried and tried but no luck, so i stoped tryin. i dont find it difficult to get the nose up even thoug im only 12 but it is the shock when you actually get it up and the power gets it higer makes me want to wet my pants Quote

wood Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 i have a hard time doing wheelies also but for me most of the time i get the rpms up in 2nd gear let off a little bit then hit it again,or sometimes i will just clutch it in 2nd gear.my buddies do ther wheelies in 1st gear rev the rpms and pop the clutch and just walk the wheelie never getting into the power band,if your in a wheelie and you hit the power band the only way you are going to save that wheelie is the back brake, you said your right foot is in the grab bar jist switch feet.every now and then i will throw my left foot on the grab bar. ellison445 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Dont take this the wrong way, I have been wheeling for years!! Had My share of Broken bones and crashes. All I am saying is for your age, take your time bro... Learn proper technique before you try to man handle a banshee. My son is a great rider and he rides my banshee from time to time but I WILL not let him try to wheelie it..He will learn what he has to on his bike and when I feel he is ready, I will teach him on the shee... Im 29 by the way  yea yea well i have more then 2 cent i got 10 dollers. lol. but dude im not that littlei mean how old are you (genaral intrest) cuse really i think my age is hoding me back cuse i keep on hearing your too young, your too young. RagunCajun Posted February 3, 2007 Report Posted February 3, 2007 I been trying to learn to wheelie myself. I been trying to learn on my yz125 though. I've already flipped backwards in 2nd gear. Just got right back up and tried again(minus the broken brake lever haha). The hardest thing for me to do is get the balls to get the front wheel high enough off the ground. It felt like the front was going way off the ground then i got a buddy to video tape my....it turns out i was only like 6" off the ground haha. After that i got him to lift the front end off the ground(with me on the bike) to almost a 12 o'clock position so i can get a feel what the balance point it. I find it helped a lot. Now i can get keep it up for about 3-5 blimps of the throttle. It's not much but i feel i am progressing. Quote
