r/atvshee Posted January 27, 2007 Report Posted January 27, 2007 one of my pwks have been leaking gas from the drain line that goes to the float. I was wondering since i have some extra pwks, would it do anything to swap the floats and the others in that area or would i be better off just buying a new carb. My other one works fine btw :: Quote
IROOST1 Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 Are you sure you needle valve isnt stuck. Try tapping the carb with the blunt end of a screwdriver. Or take the jet needle out of one of your other carbs and switch it. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted January 28, 2007 Report Posted January 28, 2007 Maybe just need a good clean. One of my carbs did the same. Turned out to be filthy when I opened it, one float was stuck. A good carb cleaner washdown did the job. Quote
r/atvshee Posted January 28, 2007 Author Report Posted January 28, 2007 well even when i first bought these carbs its always been the one on the left and not the other one. I was thinking that the needle was getting stuck, but tommorow i am probably going to swap the floats and needle out with some of our spare carbs Quote
Banchetta Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Check your float height, you can adjust them. 21mm from the float to the edge of the bowl. Go to a carb sight and they have pics that'll explain it better....there is a metal tab that touches the float needle when the floats move..you can bend that top to adjust the height. Quote
