is there anything bad about going down 2 teeth on the front sprocket instead of 1. im trying to decide which front sprocket to order im a bigger guy so i want more torque.

I have a set of sidewinder ti-moly sprockets 15t 41t with an x-ring chain for sale. I'm 220 and they works great for me.

isnt stock gearing 14/42? i wanted to get some more torque thats why i was thinkin about goin down in the front. but how much do you want for the set up? how long you had it?

14/41,and i would not ever go to 12 in the front,not even all stock shee,but thats just me.i think youill be in 6 gear,and only going about 35 miles an hr,anless you have some giant tires. :shoothead:

id say at most drop one in the front... stock is 14/41

 

if one in the front isnt enough then start adding one at a time to the rear... two seem too much

Yeah, I don't think I wuould be going below a 13 in front either especially with your mods...........

If you go under 13t in the front you will have some serious chain guide wear on the front swingarm guide.
