mod quad 2 Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 ok i have unlimited amount of motor work done but i wanna get into mx but i think i may need carbs first my motor mod's are Hotrods 4mm stroker +5rods .60 795 series pistons Port and polished Timing advanced Barnett clutch Toomey t5's K&N filter K&N Pre filter Modded airbox lid Removed airbox drain plug 15 tooth front sprocket pro design filter adapter Possibly more im forgetting my mechanic has khien 35mm pwk airstrikers pro design intakes and noss cool head's out there he said it would really wake it up... Exactly, You will gain more overall power with carbs but if your doing MX with stock suspention all of the power in the world isent going to help. Actualy it will slow you down due to your bike not being able to handle all of that power through the whoops/jumps/corners sections. I would look into some +2+1 A-Arms for stability and shocks for handeling first. Thats what Im doing A-Arms shocks steering stabilizer then a 4mil and carbs. Quote
