AustinONeal Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 i see allot of built bikes with them and i wanted one but i just don't know where to purchase one, any one know, Quote
nunyabinness Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 i think most of them are custom made. you could probably get one done at an upholstry shop. Quote
MDS2106 Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 (edited) Go to the local fabric store and ask for crushed velvet. You don't need to get a seat cover made, just cut stretch and staple. The store didn't have the crushed velvet in the color I needed so i ended up putting regular velvet on my son's bike.I have even seen a couple of colors of velvet at super walmart.Probably run about $6.00 for a yard. scooter Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 i just got my seat back from the upholstry shop and it looks great. i didnt have alot of custom work done just had it made the way i wanted it, i guess you could to the wall mart stretch and staple method if you want but you get what you pay for. why not pay a couple bucks and get it done right it dosent cost alot of money. and you can tell the difference Quote

MDS2106 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 (edited) Austin was looking for the velvet seat covers. Why pay $ 65.00 -85.00 for someone to make a velvet cover that will wear out fairly quickly.Fabric can be stretched to have no wrinkles and also use no stitching.
