Flamin' Fast Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 (edited) someone just offered me a stock swing arm that is extended 4 inches. it is chrome and he said i could have it for $100. i was just wondering if i should wait till i get my bike ported before i extend the swinger. Flamin' Fast Posted January 20, 2007 Author Report Posted January 20, 2007 or do you think that my supporting mods are enough for now with a +4 Quote
dajogejr Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 You don't need a +4 with a bolt on motor. I'd be leary of back yard hack cut and weld jobs on the stock swinger...make sure the welds are of good, clean quality... If you have a few extra duckets, I'd almost get an aftermarket swinger with a round house carrier design....the stock banshee carrier/chain adjustments is possibly one of the worst there are! Quote
Flamin' Fast Posted January 20, 2007 Author Report Posted January 20, 2007 im planning on getting it ported within the next few months and i thought that i 4 over would be just about perfect. would i notice a big loss in performance if i got a +4 now. i only dune and hillclimb if that helps Quote
Malott 1 Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 You will be better off like said above about buying yourself a good quality swingarm. The extra you pay for the round house carrier is well worth it also. Quote
