alf44 Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 does yamalube have that funny smell kind of like klotz. Im breaking in my new banshee with klots, but it smells burnt kindof. Im mixing it 32-1. Ami doing somthing wrong? Quote

dajogejr Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 You really don't need benoil. That's the oil of choice for those that run methanol. R50 or techniplate will do fine. I'd stick with a name brand quality oil, I don't know what to tell you on what "Smells" good. That's personal preference... Quote

I run Castor 927 for that "sweet" 2 stroke smell obviouslly for alot of other reasons more important than smell but you get the idea. Klotz R-50 is comprable in smell. Quote
sheefreak Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 I think the benol has a great smell to it. But as Dave mentioned, I would run the Supertechniplate w/gas. Is a synthetic w/benol mix. Still smells great! Quote
cave Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Power PLus by Manhatten Oil Has a unique smell. Kinda Cherry like but I'm Old Sckool and use Klots Techniplate. Not for the smell but it still has that 2 smoke stench that people like. Myself included. Quote
