Handyman Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 ok I've always wondered what the numbers mean when someone sells tires/rims here and I have an idea of what the numbers mean. For example dajogejr is selling some haulers that are 21x10x8 mounted on rims...ok I'm going to guess that the outter diameter is 21 inches. inner diameter is 10 inches and width is 8 inches....Am I wrong or right?? Now by the info he's given on the tire how do I know what size rim the tires are mounted on, the last 2 numbers?? 10in rim that's 8in wide?? any hel is greatly appreciated because in the next couple months i will hunting for some 22x11x10 haulers for my cheetah motor. Thanks in advance. Quote
brian Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 10 is the tire width, and 8 is the inside diameter (wheel diameter) The wheel width is not given there. It is probably between 8-9 inches. Looking at tire/wheel kits, the mfgs. offer a 10 x 8 wheel for those paddles. This is one of the sites that offer tire/wheel kits... http://www.rockymountainatv.com/search.do;...d=&navType= Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Yeah, when it says 21x12x8 9 paddles................ The tire is 21 inches in diameter, 12 inches wide and fits on an 8 inch rim, and has 9 paddles. And as stated above the rims are 10x8, 10x10...........and the tire above would fit on the 10x8. Quote
