Hey guys. This is my first post but ive cruised this board since 2000 when I boguht my Banshee. I have a 2000 with 916 DMC's, stock carbs, Wicked racing intake, Vito's power pistons, clamp-ons, Vitos Hemi head with 19cc domes, Toomey Rad., High flow impeler, Vitos clutch, Ricky Stator flywheel and stator with plate, progamable cdi, Port by Eric Happy at 4wheel thunder.

 

 

The port work was explained to me as a stage 2 port. Its not a full drag port but its a little more aggresive than a trail or MX port.

 

 

Does anyone have this same port?

 

 

Im thinking of going with carbs. Which ones for my setup would be best? I ride sand pits, fast trails, drag race and tight trail ride occasionaly.

28PWK's would be good for your setup... if you dont plan on making it a drag motor and getting a bigger crank and opening up your porting then those will do fine... you will notice a big differance in throttle response... also look at getting some v force 3 reeds...

Sorry I left some things out. I have Vforce 2's. As well as a welded and trued Vitos crank. Ive been leaning towards the 28's. Thanks for the reply.

 

 

Are the Vforce 3's worth getting over the 2's?

no stick with the 2's some actually say they work better then 3's... just make sure you loctite the little screwsa in so they dont lossen up and get sucked in and cause some big issues...

honestly, unless you plan on going with a stroke motor later on i would stick with stock carbs. they are easy to tune and will continue to work well with your setup. i dont believe that 28mm carbs are going to affect your performance very noticeably. one good thing about the aftermarket carbs though is that you can go away with all the tors wiring that clutters up the engine area. i say plan ahead and decide what you might want to do later. everyone always wants more at some point in time.
