sandthrower370 Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 i noticed after a couple of drag races i had a wet sand spot under my bike... i got lookin and found it was my tranny fluid... i thought it was the case so i just resealed it.... then i saw right under my front sprocket is a white triangle like thing.... it has a few big cracks in it... does anyone know what that is and if that could be where my leak is from? okbeast Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 www.bikebandit.com calls that white piece a neutral switch assembly but I'm not sure what it does. I don't believe that's where you're leaking from tho. You need to replace either the seal behind the front sprocket or the seal that goes on the shift shaft. Both are relatively easy. Clean everything up in there and see which one it is that needs to be replaced. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 you can leak from the neutral switch cover but very little comes out when it leaks... if you had a wet spot like said above your probly leaking out of the seal around your front sproket...but weither way id get a replacement neutral switch cover... cascade sells a billet one on there website http://www.cascadeinnovations.net/ Quote
