herbanshee Posted January 14, 2007 Report Posted January 14, 2007 I have a set of pro circut pipes and forest friendly silencers that have the a built in spark arrestor. We do alot of riding at Silver Lake and they check for something (Im assuming that the silencer is in place) by shoving a stick up the end of your silencer. Well, after checking mine, the part is missing from both. I dont want to get all the way up to the dunes only to not get in because of this. Can you purchase the part? Does anyone have 2 layin around their garage I can have? Can I makeup something to pass the "stick" test? Thanks! Audrey Quote

Pro-Circuit may have replacements too. the ones from alba are just SS wire mesh.. they had hole burnt right through them after one day... but the "stick test" all they are seeing is if the stick goes in and gets stopped by anything or if it can just keep going... herbanshee Posted January 15, 2007 Author Report Posted January 15, 2007 The kid I bought it from said they were gone but after polishing my silencers today I noticed that there is something (I have no idea if this is it cuz I cant see it) stopping my stick from going all the way up. Its about 8-10 inches in from the very end of the silencer with the end cap on. I got no clue if thats it or not or if it should be closer to the end Quote
Bansh-eman Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 get a light and flash in there... you should see soething blocking it... wire mess or some sort of metal with oles in it ... if you cant see it then pull your can apart and take a look... while its apart drop some new packing in it... Audrey your spark arrestors are not intact, you need to contact pro circuit and see if you can add them in, or if the silencers even came with arrestors. Quote
