Well it now runs and I can already tell the power from this thing is insane. The CPI pipes were a bit of a bitch to go on but I got them on. The right header was not wanting to go on what so ever. Not sure what I did but it popped right on after I gave up and got the left side all bolted together. Looked everything over, put gas in the tank and it fired up on the 3rd kick. le it run for a few minutes looking everything over to make sure there were no leaks. The right side smokes a it more than the left and I think that's because I lubed up the exhaust o-ring with some 2 stroke oil. Took it for a spin down the street up to 3rd gear and down shifted to first to create the vacuum that Bansheeseat$$ was talking about and I boy there is some power in there that I'm already itching to tap into. First heat cycle done....couple more to go. I'll get pics once my camera charges up...

I would like to say thanks to Bansheeseat$$ for giving me the oportunity to buy it from him and for ALL the seemingly dumb questions I kept asking, and I asked what I seemed to be dumb questions that only he would know and trust me for the first week I think I PM'd him everyday with a shit load of dumb questions. I bet he got on the HQ and saw I PM'd him again and I bet he was thinking..." Oh crap now what does want to know...." Anyways he helped a lot as well as a few of you here. OK time for heat cycle 2......

Thanks..... 06. Finally got it out again today and got the engine broke in some more. The first part of the ride I was a bit disappointed that it felt kinda sluggish. I was wondering if the jetting was off or what. Right before I turned around to come back to the house I hit the throttle and the damn thing reared up on me and almost dumped me on my ass. I stopped to see if there was a bump I didn't see and there was nothing. So I took of and was slowly giving it gas and then the damn power band hit and OH MY GOD :woot: That damn thing just took of like a bat out of hell and I thought " The engine must be close to being broke in". The back end got all squirrly and I could tell the back tires were just spinning away and I then realized i was in 3rd. I will say that the CPI's sound damn good. Everyone was right when they said that when the power band hits it REALLY hits. I tried it with the front fenders on but I must say that they annoyed the hell out of me, that and the fender was hitting the pipe and melting a little. The only problem I had was when the bracket for the hydraulic clutch that bolts to the case came off and I couldn't pull the clutch lever back. I had to stop and fix it so I could get home. Other than that I had no problems.

Matt,Wait untill you get it out to the mountain and hit the throttle

I'm sad to hear you're getting rid of the fenders up front but your choice

Now is the time to go over all the nuts and bolts and "blue"loctite them if you have not allready.

All the questions that you had for me where not stupid and I'm glad you asked them.I was happy to awnser them.

They may have annoyed me but my main concern was the fact they were hitting the pipes and melting a little. I know for sure that I will trim them up a little around the pipes and see if they grow on me. I want to do a couple more heat cycles....might keep them on I don't know yet..

She ha da water line bust and flooded the neighbors yard. So I went over and fixed it for her. By the time I got done and got home it was already dark. TOMORROW I SWEAR.
