CMAC Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Im putting new needles and seats in my carbs(they were leaking) on the stock carbs the manual says to remove the pin, but it wont come out. Is the only way to get them out to bend the height tab way out of the way? Quote

Is the only way to get them out to bend the height tab way out of the way? I took a real small screwdriver and tapped them out. They're held in there by friction, but not a lot. Once on side comes out i pulled it out with pliers. A small punch or anything that is small enough will work... Quote

Animalman294 Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 I wouldn't suggest prying the tab out of the way unless you want to waste time with trying to get the right float position again. Use something a littel smaller than the pin and push it out, I used an old ice pick last time I did it and it came right out........... Quote
