ZachBreck Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 What exactly do the air screws do. I know again, another nooby question, I got the shee up and running, FMFS, K&N with pro folow, FMF Boost Bottle, and 280 Jets with Stock Pilots, where should me air screws be??? I am in ohio and I motocross and climb massive hills so I don't need massive rpms, I need more power than anything. Also.....................WTF are TORS? Thanks for the help! Zach Quote
methyman Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Screw them in to richen carbs up and screw them out to lean it out. Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Most people start by screwing the screw all the way in, and back it out 1 1/2 turns and check your jetting. As far as the TORS, its kind of a pain in the ass. It is a Trottle Over Rev System or something like that. It shuts the bike down if the throttle sticks, but 75% of the time is the culprit behind ghost electrical problems. Most people get rid of them.............. Quote
ZachBreck Posted January 11, 2007 Author Report Posted January 11, 2007 Alright, so if I am so much worried about blowing it up and more about power, should I lean it out or is there a perfect in the middle area that I am looking for. Thanks again for the help Quote
okbeast Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Yeah it's kind of trying to find that happy medium spot. They'll run fat but may bog some, and they'll run lean but risk blowing the motor. This isn't as much a problem on the pilots tho b/c it's like 0-1/8 throttle, so you're not givin it much power. Animalman294 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Yeah, its the mains that you dont want to lean out, because you are playing with fire.............. Unless you hav edeepo pockets and don't mind spendin' money Quote
