06Shee Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Hi - i have a 06 Shee and im having problems with the premix, could anyone tell me how many litres of petrol mixed with how much oil? and is it wrong to re-fill the tank with the same premix before the tank is completely empty? Thanks! Quote
baddsheee Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 A good ratio mix is from 32:1 to 50:1. I would reccomend getting a mixing cup. It breaks it down for ratio mixing and by the gallons of fuel. No it does not make a difference to refill teh tank with the same kind of mixed fuel. If you were changing oils then I would recommend to do a flush in everything. Quote

Im new to banshees so.. just bought one 3 days ago and i used 500ml of oil and the rest petrol my tank is 20 litres. i apreciate what you said but i dont get the whole ratio thing :s could you explain please ? is my mix of ''500ml of oil and rest petrol in a 20 litre tank'' correct? Thx alot Edited January 3, 2007 by 06Shee Quote
sheefreak Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 You are fine w/that. It would be 40:1 ratio fuel to oil. 20 liters converted to ml is 20,000. 20,000 / 500 =40, hence 40 parts of fuel to one part of oil. Quote
Satsol67 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 if you have any doubts about the ratio mix get the ratio rite cup. it is your best friend when it comes to pre-mix. I used to be worred about the mixing until the guy at my local dealer showed me the ratio rite cup. They are only a few bucks and worth every penny. here is a link for it at rmatv. http://www.rockymountainatv.com/productDet...mp;navType=type Hope this helps Quote
