BigRed350x Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Putting that new top end in my methanol bike here in the next couple weeks some time. Is it cool to do the break-in heat cycles and stuff on alky or should I throw on my gas carbs to do it? Quote
Malott 1 Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 There was a discussion on planet sand about this sometime back and I think Calvin said they feel the best way is to do it on gas. I did mine on alcohol and didn't have any problems. Quote

BANSHEE505 Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 You will be fine breaking it in on Alky. I never had a problem in 8 years breaking them in this way. Just keep your motor a little fat on the top side for your intial break in period. Quote
