phx450 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 Does anyone have any actual proof on how much lighter the Brats are across the board. I've run haulers for years, but i keep hearing about the brats being lighter.....By a bunch. I figure i can use any weight savings that i can find. Quote
Malott 1 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 This website will tell you the weight of the Brats. http://www.sandtiresunlimited.com/sandtire1.html#brat Quote
SoCalinIt Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I had the 6 paddle 21's on 8" rims comp cut on my YFZ450... 10.2lbs each. Really light! Quote
dajogejr Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Unfortunately...with only a 6 or 9 paddle design on the brats...they are limiting themselves to duners...pretty much. Most high HP engines, long swingers, etc., are gonna need more than 9 rows. badassbanshee479 used them at Idaho, I think...and said they were fantastic, and he normally ran 11 row haulers. It really depends on a TON of variables. Sand type/density/moisture, gearing, air pressure...etc. Quote
Malott 1 Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 The ones I had were 18 paddle stagger cut. They hooked like a mofo and was a blast in the dunes. Quote
kawiking Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 my buddy has a set of comp cut brats, they weight 9.5 with the rim. they are a 9 paddle. bad thing is comp cut.. u can see cord and they go flat in about 2-2.5 hours. Quote
Animalman294 Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 I was told that you may want to chech the inner rim where the two halves come together and see if it may be leaking there, or at the valve stem which may not be seated correctly. Either way spray soapy water on both places and see if they may be leaking there. Even though you see the cords there is still three layers of rubber and cords below that, so I really don't think that that is an issue. When they are comp cut it removes about 3-4 pounds of rubber per tire.............. Quote
