olmick Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 I bought some used jugs and pistons, i was told that they are .20 over and im just wanting to confirm that, heres what i can read on the pistons 0035A and i cant tell the other numbers in the center due to carbon but it looks like the last 4 is 6500 so what bore sizes are these? Dtomblin Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 invest in some calipers (tool used for very precise measuring) and it should be able to tell you the exact bore. Without knowing the manufacturer of the pistons its hard to tell. Any local shop should be able to tell you. Just my .02 Quote

I your jugs are typical first over (0.020 inch), then the bore should measure 64.50 to 64.51 mm. If measures larger, it should be like a half millimeter multiple. Be sure to match your piston size to the right bore size. Quote

If the last is 6500 it's a 65mm bore which is .040 over Quote
olmick Posted December 28, 2006 Author Report Posted December 28, 2006 the pistons was already matched to the cylinder, im just gonna hone it out and replace the rings because the pistons are in decent shape already, so its a 65.00mm correct? Quote
